What’s almost as good as going punting?

Giving the gift of punting in Cambridge, that’s what.
Mathematical Bridge, Cambridge in Autumn
If you’ve ever been punting along the river Cam, you will know what a great experience it is. Buy one of our gift vouchers for a friend or a loved one and you can help them share this wonderful experience.

We offer a range of different vouchers, to suit every occasion from couples to small groups. Unlike other vouchers, these ones don’t expire either. The vouchers are equivalent to the cash value indicated below. They can then be used when booking a punt tour.

Have a look at the options below to find the one that works best for you:

What’s the deal?

If you’ve been punting and you’re buying a voucher as a gift for someone, then you will have a good idea of what the tours involve, if not, read on:

  • Approx 45 minutes to 1 hour chauffeur punt trip on the river Cam through central Cambridge
  • You see the 8 famous Cambridge University Colleges along the ‘The Backs’. The include: Magdalene, St John’s, Trinity, King’s and Queens’ colleges
  • 9 famous (and some not so famous) bridges, such as the Bridge of Sighs and the Mathematical bridge
  • An excellent punt chauffeur (one per boat hire) – they really are excellent, just check out the reviews – to do all of the hard work (the punting) and tell you about the history, student life, architecture and funny anecdotes as you float along the river
  • The large punts seat a maximum of 12 passengers per boat but you can book a private tour for more than one
  • Your punt tour leaves at the time of your choosing – please try to make sure you arrive 10 – 15 minutes beforehand to allow time to get everyone boarded, especially if you are in a large party
  • Got a picnic basket? Great, you are welcome to bring food and drink with you (bear in mind that you might need to share your sandwiches with the resident waterfowl!)
  • You’re welcome to bring pets as long as they are well behaved and don’t try to eat the other passengers
  • On shared tours the sections seat groups of up to 6, in rows of 3
